...Girls Weekend + Ian

I went to Maryland this past weekend for a Girls Weekend + Ian. I wonder how many more years we will be able to make him go with us! Mom, Grandmom, Amy, Ian, Molly, and I arrived at Aunt Marleen's houses on Saturday and headed out for lunch and shopping. We had a great time! We spent the evening hanging out and we were joined by Natalee. We ended up staying awake until 12:30....even Grandmom! Sunday was spent hanging around the house. Ian and I were making words on his magnet board with letters. I was impressed that he can figure out word families. I would leave -at on the board and add letters like h, b, m, c, etc. He was able to say the words without even sounding them out! Sometimes first graders even have trouble with that! The weekend was rounded out with an exciting drive home which included hail and Mom swerving a 10 car pile-up.

...Happy 3rd Birthday Gypsy!

Gypsy celebrated her 3rd birthday today.....she spent the day sleeping on our bed while we were at work. When I got home, we went for a little walk and played with some of her toys. When Jimmy got home, we had a mini photo shoot with this hat. I thought it was appropriate for Gypsy to wear this hat since her birthday falls on St. Patrick's Day. As many of you know from previous photo shoots, she does not exactly enjoy costumes and/or props. She was bribed with treats. Later, she got a special birthday doggie cupcake, a new bag of treats, a pig ear bone, and a new tug-of-war bendy toy. I think she had a pretty great day! So....since you are now around 18 years old....are you planning to move out? I hope not!

...Squeaky Clean Gypsy!

Gypsy got a long overdue bath today after we got home from work. She acts like she is totally annoyed during and after the bath, but she never turns down a little treat that we feed her during the process. She looks so fuzzy and funny when she is drying! Gypsy...I can't believe you will turn 3 next week!
